The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Lady Be Aware Safety Course is specially designed for women who want to develop the necessary attitude, skills and knowledge to help prevent them from becoming a victim.

The first portion of the training is in the classroom, which covers basic ways to prevent becoming a victim. The second portion covers weaponless self defense tactics and an introduction to shooting.

“Lady Be Aware” is open to women ages 16 or older (with guardian present).
