On May 11th, 2023, the Biden administration said that it would issue a regulation allowing undocumented students access to some of the $36 billion in emergency stimulus aid flowing to colleges. The goal of this regulation is to make sure all students have access to the funds, as well as helping them get back on track. It is going to be up to the individual colleges and universities how the funding will be distributed amongst their students.

Telemedicine and Virtual Counseling
Chaffey College provides telemedicine and virtual counseling for FREE to all students!
CalFresh Support
International students must have health insurance coverage which they can sign up for through relations.com. Relations is partnered with Anthem, meaning all Anthem in-network providers can provide care. The annual premium is $1,229.16, which covers the school year and can be bought for individual terms. CARE Team
There are two grants which can be given to international students and regular students:
- COVID-19 Emergency Grants – a one-time $300 grant (citizenship status does not affect eligibility), and
- Basic Needs Emergency Grants – a one-time $500 grant.
Coyote Dreamers Ally Network (CDAN) is offering two emergency grants for DREAMers. To apply, please click here!
- General Emergency Grant – offers up to $500 (for rent, medical services, books, etc.), and
- Legal Fees Emergency Grant – offers up to $500 (to students who are looking for expense coverage such as attorney fees or immigration fees).

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)
Any student who is a Californian resident or qualifies for an AB 540 is eligible to apply to CSUSB’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). The mission of the EOP is to provide students with access to higher education for historically low-income, first-generation, and disadvantaged students who have the potential to succeed at the university level. EOP recruits, retains, and graduates students by providing a comprehensive program of support services which include admission, academic advisement, career and personal counseling, tutoring, financial assistance, and graduate school information. Financial Aid for DREAMers
AB 540 and DACA students can apply for the California Dream Act and CSUSB scholarships. The Financial Aid website lists several Off-Campus Scholarship links for you to view. Please visit CSUSB’s Financial Aid Office Page for more information.

Student Health Center
All CSUSB students are now eligible to obtain their COVID-19 vaccinations and may schedule their COVID-19 immunization appointments. All students can also find resources on mental health practices, and medical emergencies. In addition, students have the option of virtual appointments for prescription refills and health education appointments.

Undocumented Advocates (formerly known as Coyote Dreamers) – On-Campus Student Club

Immigrant Rising’s List of Undergraduate Scholarships contains scholarships for undergraduate studies that don’t require proof of citizenship or legal permanent residency. Mental Health Services
Free counseling services are offered to all students which provide assistance with crisis-oriented psychological or emotional difficulties that interfere with the student’s ability to function and succeed in college. A variety of clinicians are available to assist students including licensed clinicians, interns, and trainees.
