The Recovery Based Engagement Support Team (RBEST) project provides community (field-based) services throughout San Bernardino County for those mentally ill individuals who are non-compliant and/or resistant to necessary psychiatric care in an effort to “activate” the individual into the mental health system to receive appropriate services.

Adult Services Adult Mental Health Clinics provide services to adult individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental health problems. These services include crisis intervention, psychiatric assessments, recovery management, medication services, case management, and dual-diagnosis treatment. The Urgent Care Program provides crisis resolution and problem-solving. Peer-to-peer recovery services are provided through the clinics and through a contracted Peer Support and Resource Centers. Outreach to unhoused, mentally ill individuals, housing assistance, and intensive 24 hours a day, seven days a week case management are also available through the Full-Service Partnership (FSP) program.

Children Services Children’s Mental Health Clinics provide services to children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. Services include psychiatric evaluations, medication services, individual and family therapy, and case management services. Staff works closely with schools to provide services to students who experience academic problems as a result of their severe emotional problems. Parent partners offer support and advocacy services to parents whose children are receiving services at the clinic.

The Homeless Outreach Support Team (HOST) is an outreach-based program providing services in the field to engage chronically unhoused individuals with mental illness into permanent supportive housing.
