Fresh Start Surgical Gifts provides surgeries for children and teens at no cost. They are a tremendous resource for families in Southern California and provide highly specialized medical services for children and teens who have physical and cosmetic deformities caused by accident, disease, abuse, and birth defects. The Morongo Basin Healthcare District operates a free, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation service, known as the “LIFT” program, for transportation to and from medical appointments. Their drivers provide “door-to-door” and “door-through-door” assistance for wheelchair-bound clients and those needing special assistance. This program includes service for anyone living in more remote areas of the Basin, where public transportation may be limited. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, call 760-366-LIFT (5438).

The FIND Hi-Desert branch is located at the Morongo Basin Healthcare District campus in Yucca Valley. FIND will store food for pick-up by area food pantries to distribute locally. FIND and the Morongo Basin Healthcare District encourages the community to reach out with any inquiries regarding food access or becoming a FIND member food pantry by calling 760-501-1637.
