Fresh Start Surgical Gifts - Free Surgeries for Children

Fresh Start Surgical Gifts provides surgeries for children and teens at no cost. They are a tremendous resource for families in Southern California and provide highly specialized medical services for children and teens who have physical and cosmetic deformities caused by accident, disease, abuse, and birth defects. Kaiser Permanente - Medical Financial Assistance Program
Kaiser Permanente is committed to providing programs that facilitate access to care for vulnerable populations. The Medical Financial Assistance (MFA) program helps low-income, uninsured, and underserved patients receive access to care by providing temporary financial assistance or free care to patients who receive health care services from our providers, regardless of whether they have health coverage or are uninsured.

Transportation & Find Food Bank at Morongo Basin Healthcare District

The Morongo Basin Healthcare District operates a free, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation service, known as the “LIFT” program, for transportation to and from medical appointments. Their drivers provide “door-to-door” and “door-through-door” assistance for wheelchair-bound clients and those needing special assistance. This program includes service for anyone living in more remote areas of the Basin, where public transportation may be limited. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, call 760-366-LIFT (5438).

 

The FIND Hi-Desert branch is located at the Morongo Basin Healthcare District campus in Yucca Valley. FIND will store food for pick-up by area food pantries to distribute locally. FIND and the Morongo Basin Healthcare District encourages the community to reach out with any inquiries regarding food access or becoming a FIND member food pantry by calling 760-501-1637.

Molina Healthcare of California and Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) have joined forces to provide support for job and health coverage losses with a new healthcare initiative called “Together4IE”.  This joint collaboration is to raise awareness about available coverage through Medi-Cal and Covered California to support families and individuals affected by income or employment changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
