Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is recruiting for Occupational Therapy Assistants who assist Licensed Occupational Therapists in the delivery of occupational therapy plans of care. Occupational Therapy Assistants conduct treatment sessions; observe responses to treatment; modify treatment technique during sessions as needed under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist; provide instruction in daily living activities and provide encouragement to patients to attempt new activities; communicate with the supervisor and other health team members about the patient’s therapy progress, problems, or treatment plans; document and maintain charts and records; assist in providing caregiver instruction; order supplies and maintain inventories of tools and equipment used in activities. Perform other tasks as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.

Minimum Requirements

 

License: Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).  List the license number and expiration date on the application. A legible copy of the OTA license is required upon appointment.

-AND-

Certification: All candidates must possess and maintain Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

Experience with Microsoft Office is highly desirable. 
Applicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
