Dr. Stover’s Retirement
Dr. Deanna Stover, PhD, RN, FNP, CNS , has proudly satisfied her years at CHAISR
from 2015 - 2020. Many of her contributions have impacted the success and up-
bringing of the Association and our membership. From leadership to compassion, the
health networks Dr. Stover created will be carried on after her retirement.
Dr. Deanna Stover has dedicated her career to public service that includes the bet-
terment of health for underserved communities. Dr. Stover has actively worked in the
medical arena for over 40 years with training and expertise in community-based
healthcare, health policy, HIV/AIDS, occupational medicine, and advanced prac-
tice nursing. In addition, she has expertise in rural and correctional health care. Dr.
Stover’s professional career has revolved around public service in her community.
She has held leadership positions in local government and non-profit hospitals.
Since 2015, Dr. Stover has served as a champion for community health centers and
clinics that serve vulnerable populations in the Inland Southern Region. Dr. Stover
provided strong leadership and direction that propelled the Association to be where
it stands today. Dr. Stover has been honored with numerous awards and recogni-
tions. Achievements include being appointed as a Commissioner by Governor Jerry
Brown to the California Healthcare Workforce Policy Commission (2017), serving as
the President of the Beyond AIDS Foundation from 2012 to 2017, and was most re-
cently awarded the Clinic Legacy award by California Primary Care Association in
October 2020.
We are proud of all she has accomplished at the Association and appreciate her
many years of service and dedication to community healthcare. We will honor her
by continuing her legacy of serving vulnerable communities. Thank you Dr. Stover!
