Message from the President & CEO

On behalf of the Community Health Association Inland
Southern Region, I am honored to present the Association’s
2019 Annual Report. There were many accomplishments
and milestones achieved during the year that benefited
our partners, our membership and the safety net communi-
            ties they serve.

Once again in 2019, there were a lot of health care policy
challenges that threatened access to health care in the
region. The Association added one new member and
member health centers added new clinical sites which in-
creased access to health care in the safety-net. Our mem-

bers remain committed to be accessible, affordable, and high-quality services. Their
dedication to providing care for at-risk and vulnerable populations is laudable.

One strength of our organization is the provision of advocacy. Advocating for health
center funding and low cost drug programs (340B) remained at the top of the list.
Strengthening the workforce is another priority for our organization. Our members
struggle with recruitment and retention for all levels of staff. We completed our first
year of a medical assistant training program and celebrated graduation at our offic-
es with students and their families. As the Inland Empire Area Health Education Cen-
ter, we facilitated multiple learning collabora-
                                                        tives and provided educational opportunities.
Our Team With a sincere heart I would like to thank an
