COVID-19 Response
2020 will forever be an unforgettable year, living
in unprecedented times and facing the
unknown. The rise of the novel Coronavirus in
2020 shifted our daily lives in unimaginable
ways. Collectively, we faced trauma and felt a
profound sorrow for the lives lost and the Staff from Borrego Health at a testing event .

Our member organizations rapidly shifted their
practices to fit the new normal by following
safety guidelines, operating under the shelter-at
-home order and continuing to serve and
support their patients in the most trying times.
Member community health centers continued
to provide services to their patients via
telehealth visits, provided drive thru childhood

immunizations, and supported the community
by holding local food drives.
Our members served as an important partner in
mitigating COVID-19. Across both counties they
supported the county’s efforts in containing the
virus by offering COVID-19 testing, hosting
COVID-19 testing events, and continuing to
serve the communities most in need.
