IE AHEC Scholars Program
The Inland Empire Area Health Education Center (IE AHEC) Scholars program is HRSA-funded and managed by the Community Health Association Inland Southern Region (CHAISR). The Inland Empire AHEC collaborates with the California AHEC Program Office (www.cal-ahec.org).
In addition to CHAISR’s mission, the Inland Empire AHEC is committed to Cal-AHEC’s mission of improving access to quality healthcare for all populations through academic and community partnerships, particularly within the Inland Southern Region, encompassing San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
The Inland Empire AHEC utilizes a collaborative approach in healthcare workforce, increases community-based health professions training programs, develops and strengthens partnerships between multi-disciplinary organizations, contributes to pathway programs to promote healthcare careers within the youth of communities, and supports communication amongst health centers/clinics, academic institutions, and community partners.
