Please join us for a day of health and safety demonstrations, backpack giveaways, raffle prizes, and more. The Winter Wonderland Health and Safety Fair will offer interactive learning labs so members of the community can learn how to prepare themselves and their homes. Learning labs may focus on the following topics:

▪ Earthquake Safety: How to prepare yourself, your family, and your home

▪ Electrical Safety: Being safe around electricity at home and in the neighborhood

▪ Emergency Communication: Demonstration of ways to communicate during and after a disaster

▪ Fire Safety: How to avoid fires at home and what to do if one starts

▪ Gas Leaks: Being safe around gas at home and in the neighborhood

▪ Health: Hands-On CPR, First Aid

▪ Health: The importance of nutrition and physical activity

▪ Recycling: Importance of recycling and what happens after a disaster

▪ Stranger Danger: Tips on personal safety and the concept of “See Something, Say Something”

▪ Suspicious Packages: How to identify and what to do when you receive suspicious packages

▪ Water Safety: How to be safe and prepared around the water

▪ Weather and Disasters: How the National Weather Service provides local and regional forecasts, and emergency alerts for all natural disasters.
